Very interesting discussion about her new documentary today.

Both give good points and challenges to each other.

I see all this as a move back towards more information for women about women, research, informed choice etc. feeds into research around athletes training around periods, also women training very differently to men due to biology.

Slightly concerns it could be viewed as conservativism in the US. Also post woe v Wade it's a worry.

But basically, there's no pill for men cos side effects...

Posted here as I do think there are links to informed choices around Hormones etc. for trans identified men. Misunderstanding and perhaps a normalisation of being able to interfere with hormones. This can be both good and bad and honest discussions plus better research is what's missing.

I'm not one one side or the other but pro the discussion and analysis-we need more of this.

Ricky's film says there's not enough informed consent around contraception.

There's been criticism of the film as highlights or perhaps over focusses on negative side effects.

At the same time, she makes good points around female biology and health. Discussion. Research.
