Don't see a thread on this, apologies if it's already been covered.

Whilst this is Fox news, this isn't the usual book burning type territory. The parents involved, even raised the money for a multi gender private restroom next to the others. The school took the money, built the restroom and still allowed students to choose, even suggested anyone uncomfortable with sharing with the opposite sex, should use the new facilties.

Well, good luck to them

@ByTheGrace and of course this only gets covered by a Fox as the other news outlets ignore it. Yes, if you read the article the school board broke State law where decisions of this nature must be made with input from parents and publically,

Yes, I read the article. My point was these parents had gone out of their way to raise money and provide separate facilities for trans identifying students, they were trying to facilitate their needs, yet it still (unsurprisingly) wasn't enough. Hence the lawsuits when the school still basically made all the toilets unisex.

Unlike some, despite being GC, I'm not comfortable aligning with bible belt, right wing Americans. My point was that the parents in question didn't fall into that category as they'd tried to be considerate of the trans students needs. But as we know validation is the prize, not inclusion.
