‘Woman’ breached SHPO news article

I know this person is a man. However, this is being treated as a woman’s crime throughout the article.

You simply don't generally associate the word 'pervert' with women, so I was hoping they'd be clearer. There is talk of a 'criminal past' (indecent images of children) and another name being used to register the social media accounts but that's not enough.

Given the nature of the previous offending (surely more grave than being a "pervert") it should be absolutely imperative any trans history be mentioned. No identity should allow that to be buried.

I think that the media need to take responsibility for the danger they put people in when they lie like this. How hard is it to add a line "previously male" it is gaslighting all of us.

A quick google sees the Manchester Evening News go with 'woman' in the headline. Other titles use 'model'.

The only possible reason I can think of is if the background of this person's identity didn't come up in court perhaps so couldn't be contemporaneously reported? But it seems pretty key to everything here.

Reading the article, not from the link I came on here to see if someone had posted it, I was reading it thinking this isn't a female sexual offending pattern it's a male one.

And so i googled and I was right. This isn't a woman committing the crime this is a transgender woman committing the crime and I'm not outing them they are online listing themself as transgender.I
