I'm confused - is this a patient forum or a forum for members of the public recruitment exercise? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but this looks important...

It looks like it is an existing board and they are looking to recruit new members

From the 'application pack', in the link above, an extract, my bold:

Skills and experience required for this role
Experience
· A strong commitment to helping NHS England commission NHS services with a particular focus on quality, outcomes and the patient experience; and to bring that focus into the work of the Programme Board
· Current or past experience of using or accessing specialised gender dysphoria services as a service user; and an insight into the challenges that the Programme Board seeks to address
· A good understanding of the background to the work of the Programme Board, and the complex wider landscape (social; political; economic) in which the work takes place
· A good understanding of the sustainability challenges to the NHS generally.

This will be a wider board of experts likey medical, psychosocial, GPs etc. These boards often have patient or public reps on them.

If you or a family member have had cuase to access gender services, then you are qualified to apply. If you have other relevant experience (sitting on boards, being a school governor) then you are very very qualified.

You will need to think carefully about how you would reflect broader views, not just yout own, and how you would navigate differences of opinion and challenge.

Ethinic minorities i suspect would be particularly welcome.

If any of you decide to go for it, PM me i might be able to help.
