I'm glad to see him back after such a long break and I'm pleased he's okay. His statement of independence is something we really need to be teaching girls and younger women.

I think John is a great role model
Be yourself completely, don't let anyone imprison you by constraining your personality.
Wear make up and be glamorous for yourself, dress for yourself
And he has such a soothing voice

I love watching John. So glad to see him back. Agree re his voice. I find him so relaxing to watch. I wish there were more like him showing that you can dress how you like without meaning you want to be accepted as the opposite sex. He's great.

He's blimmin amazing. I don't wear make-up either but could watch his (extremely skilful) videos for hours. Strangely soothing whilst being funny as fuck, sharp as a tack, unique and enviably self possessed.

Fab! I don't even wear make-up any more but found myself binge-watching his videos, fascinated. It's like three-dimensional art using himself as the canvas.

I get what you mean about his use of language @pattihews - haven't watched all the second video yet, but his "... I do find that when I get ready I just feel a little bit better when I apply a little bit of make-up, it's almost like having a good coffee, just perks you up ..." - communicates it completely and succinctly.

And that first video - "...because I AM a man. I am THE man." . Yes you are, John, you are The Man!

John really is ‘widening the bandwidth’.

I’m glad he’s back making videos again as GNC boys/boys afraid of mainstream masculinity have so few role models (and that in turn feeds the weird contemporary madness that identifying as girl is the only socially acceptable excuse for liking things from the stereotype-girl-box). The existence of GNC men like John and 80s pop star Marilyn is proof that you don’t have to mess with your healthy body just because you want to look feminine or have femme fashion interests.
