More movies against Rosie from a whole bunch of student Labour groups.

labourlist.org/2022/10/labour-groups-urge-party-to-withdraw-whip-from-rosie-duffield-mp/

I don't think she is in any danger, Starmer won't openly support her, but also does not want to lose her or the other GC MPs. He is totally committed to a vision of Labour as a Terf/TRA neutral zone. He knows that legally she has a right to her views and also there are lots of MPs and members who share them. She has been complained about before and it has never been upheld. Rosie Duffield is not transphobic she has been cleared by multiple investigations. She was also reselected by her local party with no real difficulty.

This is a chance to show support for her. Please write to local Labour MP, local party Chair and ask them to support her from unwarranted misogynistic attacks which have been going on for over 2 years. The Forde Report revealed the deep rooted culture of sexism inside Labour in which left and right both join into. This is another clear example of it.

Also another example of the level of fanaticism and intolerance amongst young supporters of genderism. Obviously the scientific case for their views is weaker than ever yet they can't bear Rosie stating obvious stuff. Izzard has said he doesn't care how people refer to him, so it isn't even misgendering by their standards.

Yes a lot of Labour student clubs have posted similar:

However they were drowned out by what is going on in Scotland on twitter.

Siobhain McDonagh Labour MP for for Mitcham and Morden has said similar to Rosie on whether Izzard is a woman question:

Been retweeted by Rosie.

Another day, another witch hunt.

Strength and solidarity to Rosie.

Starmer removing the whip from Rosie would be a disaster for Labour.

It would get lots of press coverage and actually raise the issue of women losing rights to Trans people - its really

Live4weekend · 28/10/2022 20:55

Posted to soon - to carry on

It's really not realised the the majority of people that men with penises are using the female single sex spaces.

Rosie Duffield has mainstream views - it doesn't matter what the more extreme of the Labour Party members believe.

Starmer is no fool. He can not say much at this time because it will alienate a vocal minority in his party - but the closer to an election we get, his stance will harden. If it doesn't, he will lose votes.

This is the area the right wing press will attack him on. It could potentially lose him the election. The public do not support the extremist TRA view.

If Labour become the next government it’ll be interesting to see if they include “misgendering” in hate crime legislation.

ReunitedThorns · 29/10/2022 12:02

Nice to see Young Labour unanimously standing for sexism. I'm sure there are many gender critical male MPs in the party who don't face this level of abuse.

savehannah · 29/10/2022 12:09

She's my MP (I'm so lucky, and so scared of losing her). Any ideas where I can write in support of her?

nilsmousehammer · 29/10/2022 12:12

Cross the floor, Rosie. You'd be great in cabinet, and we could use more good women MPs.

Not saying your wrong with her ability, but think she's better in labour as voice of the majority, as still likely labour will get stonking majority next time

nilsmousehammer · 29/10/2022 12:21

Reading the many questions of previously left voting women to Starmer on the webchat thread, I'm not sure that's a foregone conclusion at all.

Georgeskitchen · 29/10/2022 12:34

God help us if this showered get in.
We'll probably be in an even worse mess than now!!

mrshoho · 29/10/2022 12:59

Doesn't fill me with any hope for the future of the Labour Party.
