Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

A small difference, but a difference

I signed up for some research recently and the pre-interview questionnaire asked my sex assigned at birth and gave the options of male, female, non-binary or other. I emailed the research lead and corrected the usual things about nonsense like this . She apologised and said she was embarrassed about the "oversight" and had the wording changed. Result!

In other news IW has blocked me on Twitter so I must be pouring sunlight on IW's nonsense too..

I'll never be up there with the feminist greats but I'm happy with my small deeds.

Well glad that you have made a minority lives much sader. Congrats! I hope you can celebrate the victory and you enjoy it.

Lying to you isn't kind. Sex is binary and immutable and can't be changed. If that fact makes your life hard you have a whole host of issues.

Great work! And all the best people are blocked by IW.

Well done on the wording of the survey OP. No one is born other or non binary so it needed to be said. If they had a question on gender identity that followed somewhere and had an answer that allowed you to say none ( like questions on religion) that would be been okay. Mixing and conflating sex and gender is not good.

What sex were you whilst in the womb?
