Any non captured charities out there?

It's my birthday coming up, a big one. I don't need anything and would like to do a birthday fundraiser, but all the charities I support appear to be captured. I am still paying monthly subscriptions, and I think they still do good work (Amnesty International, Action Aid, NSPCC).

I was going to do Action Aid but then saw their policy on trans-inclusion www.actionaid.org.uk/about-us/our-commitment-trans-inclusion. It may be that trans women and girls are very vulnerable in other countries, but in the UK they are less at risk than women and girls.

I'd really like to support a charity which supports biological women and girls please. Or vulnerable children. Any ideas?

Thanks everyone. I’m considering pinning my GC colours to the mast and supporting LGB alliance or Sex Matters. Either that or my local food bank.

If you're still not sure, I think that charities that support marginalised or disadvantaged women, like NIA and the Fistula Foundation, are an excellent choice. I also think MSF is one of the few major aid charities that hasn't been captured - but I wouldn't swear to it.

WaterAid does brilliant work and is not afraid of using sexed language when talking about period hygiene www.wateraid.org/uk/the-crisis/hygiene/periods

When you decide, please update, I might chuck in a few quid to wish you all the best. I think it's a lovely idea.

I was going to say NIA too. CEO is Karen Ingala Smith.
I also donate to Justice for Women (Julie Bindel is involved)
