Can someone please explain Filia on the Whova app in the simplest terms possible?

Yes Whova, I'm excited to attend Filia this year, but I can't figure out if I'm actually signing up for events or just putting them in my diary.
When you add an event to your agenda does it also sign you up as an attendee who will take a seat in the actual room? I watched the video explaining Whova and it seems to be for people attending online.

I think you are signed up if you add an event to your agenda. Last year you could see the number limits, however I still went to one talk where there weren't enough seats - annoying if you've signed up and others just come along and use the seats anyway. If the event is in the auditorium I'm assuming there will be no problem numbers. It's a great event, I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks HeyBells, good to know. I was concerned you wouldn't be able to attend the more popular events once it was full but it seems like maybe that won't be a problem. I'm looking forward to it too!

I've signed up to a couple of workshops on Whova now, would like dd to choose what she'd like to attend too. Hopefully because I've got two tickets booked under my email address that we've got two seats.

Workshops? Where are they in the app?

It doesn't work like that @BingBongSong - you should email [email protected] with your and your DD's details to sort it out.

So when you add a session in Whova, it doesn't book you a space on that session?

Yes @BingBongSong but your DD is a separate attendee. needs a separate log in and should book her own sessions.

I can't find details of any workshops either @stealtheatingtunnocks

I did hear somewhere that Elaine Miller/Gussett Grippers would be there and I'd love to see her but I can't find anything. Maybe she will be doing a lunchtime pelvic floor exercise session? 🤷‍♀️

Thanks DaisyBenson, I emailed Filia and she is now registered with a separate login.

If you’re going to events in the main auditorium, no need to reserve, but otherwise you do need to sign up since a lot of the meeting rooms have limited space.

Fyi I found out that adding an event to your calendar does actually sign you up for that event.
Looking forward to it now!

We've been added to the waiting list for a few events. One I thought we definitely had places at but next time I checked Whova it seemed to have become a waiting list place instead.

Has the app frozen for you?

would you uninstall or and reinstall it? I’m worried I’ll lose my booked sessions
