Because he has not yet realised that many women won't vote for him! I read today, that Rosie Duffield has said that if Eddie Izzard is on a women only shortlist, she will leave the Labour party!

Probably they dropped all women shortlists because they would prefer women not to speak up about our rights .

I am not an expert but read somewhere they had said they would not have AWS for the NEXT election, but had not ruled out bringing them back in future. Maybe someone can confirm...

I don't know that they've really done the LP any favours. But they were always justified as temporary. Like any affirmative action type of approach, once institutionalized it creates a problem.
