There is to be a webinar on 13 September (5:30-7:00pm):
What’s next for queer equity in heritage spaces? Is there a disparity in regional and national representation?
Inspired by recent projects at Pitt Rivers Museum (University of Oxford) and Royal Albert Memorial Museum and the University of Exeter, Elliot Falkus brings together queer heritage practitioners around the UK, inviting the audience to imagine futures for LGBTQIA+ representation in heritage spaces. Is a temporary exhibition enough or is it ticking boxes? Should we focus on regional or national projects? Where do we go next?
You don’t need to be working in museums/heritage or any other field connected to the subject, it’s open to anyone interested - which I thought many on this forum would be, and I cannot stress this enough, in good faith, for a wide range of reasons.
