I'm not sure the lady in question will be successful but fair play to her!

Great to draw the double standard to light but I don’t agree with any litigation which shores up the personhood of a foetus to the detriment of women longer term. This approach could well backfire on women in the US.

MrGHardy · 10/07/2022 21:37

Why would it backfire, under current law that is a person according to the state. Whether or not someone makes use of that outside of abortion doesn't change that that is state law. If anything showing the ridiculousness of it like this could lead to a change in what is considered a person.

LittleSockOfHorrors · 10/07/2022 21:45

I can't either but there is a bit of information at the top.

She's got a traffic ticket for driving alone in the car pool lane so she's going to fight it in court and say she's not alone as she's pregnant.

Ah, I see. Thanks
