I love this bit: "the curious series of mishaps which led to the situation whereby Edward Lord was able to volunteer to be on a panel for this case"

Lord is deeply sinister in my opinion.

KookaburraSits · 06/07/2022 12:53

It's been a good news day.

IcakethereforeIam · 06/07/2022 13:13

I thought I'd misunderstood when I got the impression he'd (or xe'd, I honestly don't know how ze wants to be referred as) put himself forward for this case. As it's now clear he volunteered for this specific case I find I'm very cross.

I had problems with the above link, so I'm reposting it, thanks to @Theblondestoftheblonde for this thread.

Is there a link to the judgement that explains these “mishaps” anywhere?

Lord shouldn’t be a magistrate since he’s not willing to abide by the ethics rules. Is there someone to complain to about him?

The judge's words are quite motherly - now go do your jobs! Smile

Should have looked more carefully. It’s explained in Paragraph 15.

So it’s down to an administrative error or possibly “error” by the EAT administration team.

I thought it was because you didn't sacrifice to the link Gods. Anyway must get on, got a mouse to bury ahem, house to dust.

Circumferences · 06/07/2022 14:34

Ze was was obviously desperate to worm zimself in to this case to influence the outcome.

Not worthy of respect is ze. Glad ze has been removed.

Melroses · 06/07/2022 15:01

The call went out and they was there within the hour. No hanging about.

PearlClutch · 06/07/2022 15:13

Thank goodness for that.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 06/07/2022 15:17

Another bit of good news. Glad that the judge could see what the rest of society can see about this person repeatedly using their personal influence to negatively affect matters relating to the privacy, safety and freedom of expression relating to women:

there was a real ground for doubt in the lay member’s ability to approach this matter with an impartial and entirely open mind

Couldn't have said it better myself Smile

Pinklimey · 06/07/2022 15:36

Good

KatVonlabonk · 06/07/2022 15:39

Very good news. They and the Mxrs are zealots.

Yes I read about this in detail yesterday on another thread but I can't link right now! Reading between the lines the series of events that lead to him volunteering for this does look suspicious peculiar. It's quite chilling really.

ControversialOpening · 06/07/2022 17:30

The judgment obviously has to use restrained language, but it’s clear what it meant:
you’re a dodgy git and we don’t trust you.

Clymene · 06/07/2022 17:32

Mx Lord's response asks "is it right that I as a bi/queer non-binary person who has from time to time spoken up, in a personal capacity, in favour of the rights of LGBT people should recuse myself in this case?"

Lord's tweets in favour of the rights of lgbt people include: • calling Professor Kathleen Stock is a “notorious trans hater”
• calling Naomi Cunningham “a well known ‘gender critical’ barrister who champions transphobic causes”

For those who don't know Mx Lord, this is they. They is in an LTR to another queer person who is female.

If these neopronouns catch on, some of the time we're going to sound like we're taking the piss of ze french.

sweetgrapes · 06/07/2022 17:45

Chilling how some men are dedicated to harming women. They spend years beavering away at it.
50 years for some things.

And yet we are expected to not see this and just welcome them in our spaces.

ContradickstoryEvidence · 06/07/2022 17:47

Zis wiki entry is quite the read. Ze has fingers in an extraordinary number of pies. Ze is also a Freemason, which tells me everything I need to know about zim and zis principles.

MissSteak · 06/07/2022 17:49

“Good moaning, I was juust pissing by ze window.”

”Quick Michelle, hide ze Fallen Madonna wiz ze Big Boobiez”

I moved to France last year and always, always greet anyone in the house with a hearty 'God Moaning'.
