Has anyone seen this? Open letter re funding LGB Alliance - not the letter, but check the signatures.

that's really cheered me up! They are actually quite clever fake names -someone somewhere knows their stuff, knows our concerns and is clearly a mumsnet staple!!!

It's sort of 'normal' but then things go astray around signature 118...

Unfortunately I dont see the funny side. I think that type of twattery backfires and makes any counter arguments much harder. It is much better surely to deal with a letter like that with polite rebuttals, factually based and directly addressed to the National Lottery.

But can anyone please explain to me why Feminist Library Collective, Library & Archive, Feminist Library, London is the 1st signature. What have I missed here?

The letter and first hundred or so signatures are in deadly earnest, spongedog. The satire only kicks in at about signature 120. Although I can't see the point of parodying a Feminist Library Collective that attacks the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Alliance (and note they never clarify the acronym in their risible letter of complaint..); surely at this point in proceedings satire is dead?
