A group of trans activists surrounded an event out on for the Warwick Conservative Association, shouting “transphobe” and “trans rights are human rights”, until the Education Secretary had to leave and was bundled into his car by his security.

Anyone treating communal spaces like this at a university should be thrown out. Protest outside, by all means, but this is unacceptable and intimidating.

OTOH it makes the case for gender critical views better than quite a few other scenarios.

The arrogance of these people thinking they have the right to stop everyone else listening to people’s views.
i agree that the university should take a hardline on this.
Unfortunately universities are businesses now, so won’t take a stand.

It's pretty frightening really, the cancel culture of universities. They are SUPPOSED to be places where debate is had various views respected, and if you find them abhorrent then you gave eloquent and robust replies.

But of course, it's difficult to argue with biology and when you can't define what a a gender identity actually is; much easier to resort to this.

How embarrassing for Warwick uni! Hope the management apologise publicly to NZ and the students are reprimanded.
That would put me off as a parent if my child was applying there.

Well let's hope it gets widely reported.
