The headline for once doesn't claim this was a woman and nowhere have they given this disgusting man incorrect pronouns. The picture says everything.

Surely the journalists are now starting to twig that men are just using this to get access to women? Has the penny eventually dropped? It's like an insurance policy, say your name is (female name) and you may we'll get put into a female prison?

I wondered that. The very obviously male photo and putting the new and old names at the start are tricks a lot of journos seem to use to get around the guidance.

The same article in the Mail (decried as transphobic) would be almost identical, except that they do use female pronouns.

Was that a factually accurate transcription of the statement by a Greater Manchester police?
