Peter Tatchell talking shit already. (No surprise).

Why do they get him on. It's like asking saville.

I don't think Peter Tatchell has looked at the website at all, he's just making it up.

Milli Hill was brilliant, Tatchell was shit. How the fuck is he talking head? He's vacuous. Dangerously so.

I bet Milli Hill (or any of us) would never go on a show to present herself as an expert on a subject after doing absolutely fuck all research on it.

Yes, Milli Hill was great. Peter Tatchell sounded as though the only background information he had was knowing the title of the show, then made a load of uninformed assumptions about what was in it. Clearly hadn't seen the website, or was making out he hadn't. Why bother having him on? Couldn't they find anyone who was well informed about the show and could put forward a decent argument that the show was a good idea? Hmm, I wonder why not?

Tatchell will go up against anyone who is in favour of keeping stringent safeguarding in place, he doesn't have to know the content of the show to defend it. He is waaaaaay too invested in the sexuality of young people, and when you read the letter he wrote to the Guardian back in the day, it's clear why that is.

How he has any credibility as an 'activist' I honestly don't know.

Tatchell is the equivalent of Raj Persuad (the go to guy on mental health before he got busted for plagarism)-"who do we get to talk about this? Call Tatchell-he'll show up to the opening of an envelope"

Tatchell was so boring - same old, same old.

Like posters said, he didn't seem to have any idea about the show and too much idea of what young children should know. He is a stuck record and I have no idea why he keeps getting asked to come on these things other than there is no one else.

At least it wasn't Jane Fae who LBC had on to talk about safeguarding in schools and the new guidance being developed if children identify as trans. Why do talk shows think that as long as they have someone on who is LGBTQ then that ticks the box whether or not they actually know anything about the subject?

I got the feeling that Tatchell had not looked at what people were complaining about at all. He was underprepared and looked like a fool saying ‘I haven’t looked but I believe that they …’ . (my Paraphrasing)

Milli was superbly coherent and prepped with examples and the over all point that you cannot have a show that covers all age groups at all. Red flag territory.

I think personally, Tatchell gets asked to do these things but cannot be arsed to the research and comes at it from a perspective of ‘any disagreement is someone who simply doesn’t want sex education for their child’.

The man is a complete narcissist. Anyone concerned with their reputation would either do some research or turn down interviews 'cos they know nothing about it. And he still manages to sound smug and condescending.

Dammit, I lost my own bet. On the original thread in AIBU I said given the nature of its content, I expected Tatchell to be defending it within a week. It took him two weeks ☹️.

So many 🚩 about that man.
