Well done to Riley for speaking out. Didn't realise she didn't even get 6th it was a tie with Lia Thomas.

Watching it on delay as kids talked through it on live, but think it started around 7.40am

Riley was really clear. I felt really sorry for her when she spoke of Lia getting the fifth place medal, even though they were tied for fifth ‘Women, move over!’.

If there was a 5th place medal and they were tied for 5th, why didn't they both get a medal? Isn't that the usual, that tied athletes both get the same medal?

I think I read that they did, except there was only one awarded on the day.

I believe Riley received her medal via the post.

Of course, deny Riley her moment of glory to appease LT
