Who is going to support the Detransitioners?

In five, ten, 50 years time. What support, resources, healthcare will be available for them?
And who will be doing it?

Although, I hope with the Cass report, there will be a very well thought out and then very well utilised support system put in place for this group. There have been detransitioner led groups started, but it really is time to get some of that funding going to transitioning to be put into supporting the detransitioners too.

I fear they're going to be crowdfunding in order to sue the NHS for the (checks notes) unevidenced, lacking in data, influenced by activists experimental child medical care they were subjected to?

My young teen kid said sadly "it's going to be people from my generation who will end up having to counsel the other people from my generation who have detransitioned."

What a tragedy.

And lets be honest, those services will be set up by and largely staffed by .... Them Who Shall Not Be Named.

It's going to be an absolute shit show.

There is a conflict between assessing detranstioners joint pain, pelvic pain, cardiac impacts and Stonewall's assertion that there are only 1% of detransitioners.

So, it's going to be hard to build services. No research, no guidelines, no funding and patient group which allegedly doesn't exist.

Try entering the search term 'detransitioning' and its related words into the websites of Stonewall, The Trevor Project, or Mermaids. No results, nothing, no support, not even an acknowledgement that such a person, such a journey exists.

If, all this time, these websites charged and paid for giving out advice to inexperienced and confused children and young people and their parents or guardians had included honest discussions around detransitioning, changes of feeling about your body and 'identity', this whole situation now - and what I fear is coming down the road - could have been so different. As it is, their blank denial that such young people even exist, let alone need serious mental and physical support, is unforgivable.

This is a very real problem and not addressed at all. I have seen detransitioned individuals write that their doctors have had no training on even the possibility that someone might detransition or how to do the medical detransitioning in a safe manner. The clinics for transitioning seem uninterested in helping this group.

We are not even allowed to have proper scientific surveys on the likely numbers of detransitioners.

I feel like we all know that it's going to be women's groups who will be supporting detransitioners. Not least because so many former TM will have gone through early menopause with all the health impacts that entails.

Not just detransitioners. People who transition and don't have regrets are not immune from dreadful side effects. There are some excruciating videos from teen trans men about repair surgery etc on YouTube.

Was it James Caspian who was not permitted to study detransition as part of an MA degree at Bath Spa Uni?

Of we become the last generation of people who have a grasp on reality, then who steps up when we die. If we cant get through to our children then the supoort/knowledge / awareness etc. It ends when we get too old /too sick/too frail etc ourselves to do anything.

And sadly I think the organisations etc will still come out looking like the hero's. When the aim.of ensuring reality has become illegal to acknowledge my theory is they will probably turn their hand to raising money/awareness to being involved in supporting/providing care for those left with the disabilities from the treatment. So while there will be a degree of holding surgeons and drug companies to account it won't be because of the damage they have helped cause it will be about the lack.of availability to thise who need physio for diminished functionality of their hand due to phalloplasty. Thise left with bags while they wait years for repairs from surgeries etc there will not be any connection of the dots

And to add to my post the Mothers who will likely be expected to support them while bearing all the blame.
