Who drove the policy to include males who have gone through puberty? It’s not based on science that’s for sure

Can you also link the article re Lia Thomas that the Times published today please?

From the article:
A British Cycling spokesman said: “In January 2022, we published the second iteration of our policy on Transgender and Non-Binary Participation ... We believe the updated policy reflects the current evidence available to us.”

Makes you wonder what type of evidence they need? Perhaps the result of this race may make XY puberty advantages blindingly clear despite testosterone suppression.
They seem blind to all evidence already out there- possibly because it’s not cycling specific.
It’s a shame that the starting point wasn’t disproving the obvious- people with XY chromosomes have bodies that give them an advantage, but we are were we are and hopefully they will have all the evidence that they need to make sports fair for all.
