Transmen in men's sports

What are the rules for transmen competing in men's sports? Clearly if they have taken no testosterome then they are allowed to. But testosterome is clearly a banned performance enhancing drug and would a transman be able to compete if he was on HRT so long as he kept his testosterome below a certain point? Would they need a medical exemption or something? Has this happened and a transman who has taken testosterome competed in men's sports?
Also if transwomen are supposed to have no advantage in women's sports so long as their testosterome is belowe a certain level, surely this implies that a transman will have no disadvantage if their testosterome is above a certain level? Surely even the most hardline TRA would think that is just nonsense? And transmen can never be competitive in men's sports and proves that athletically females are not just males with lower testosterome?

You've started at least 7 theads with the same title. Could you please ask for the duplicates to be deleted? Cheers.

And it's testosterone.

All your reasonable questions highlight what an absolute shitshow the whole trans/sport situation is.

Male bodied people competing against women is male supremacy in action, is deep injustice, is gaslighting. Is wrong.

Obviously trans men will have a massive disadvantage in sport against men.

It’s all unthink in #bekind clothing, powered by patriarchal toxicity.

Yep. Men are now supposed to rugby tackle pregnant females, post menopausal females or 14 year old females who identify as men because identity is more important than sex. They’re supposed to shower after the match with underage unsupervised 14 year old females in the room as long as they all identify as men.

We’re just not supposed to talk about it.

Welcome to the upside down.

I believe that most guidelines let trans men compete in men's sports while taking testosterone. Or without taking it, I presume.

There have been several examples of them competing as men, but I can't think of any where they ended on the podium or took athletic scholarships or sports stipends from men.

The two cases: trans men and trans women in the sports categories not matching their sexes are not symmetrical.

Males, as a sex, are not really affected at all. Women, as a sex, bear the whole burden of this sex. As female sports are a much more recent field and clearly less well funded than male sports this is pretty unfortunate.

I'm not sure I agree with that totally, nepeta. It's maybe true to an extent in sports that are totally non-contact, like swimming. But what about games like football or rugby where there is risk of injury. ANd then there is athe question of changing room arrangements, and I think that men have a right to privacy then as well.

We also talk about religious obligations women may have that mean they can't participate with men. This is not only true of women though, there are men who would not be able to participate in a contact sport with a female person for religious reasons too.
