That is not good. But wow, the wheels of justice turn slowly.

The incident allegedly took place in September 2019 and was reported to the police some months later. Sparling is presumably in court today (2 years later) and the hearing has been adjourned until next month for lack of court time.

Not keen on some of the victim blaming language used in the Times article tbh:
"The man told the court he had been left “confused” by the alleged incident and admitted he told no one or did anything about it at the time."

That poor guy, I cannot imagine how awful it would be to wake up somewhere you don't remember being and then later find photos of yourself with your genitals exposed.

Frankly, nothing surprises me about the SNP any more. There seems no depth left unplumbed by the vile bunch.

I remember back during the referendum, people telling me that Scottish politicians would have more morals, be less corrupt, kinder, gentler than the politicians in "westmonster".

I said that Scots were as human as everyone else, that power corrupts and Scots are not exceptional. I knew I was right, Fuck me though they really do seem to have attracted some utterly vile specimens to the SNP.

In my experience, in a smaller setting, when things go bad it almost seems like it gets a lot worse than a larger one. So city or town politics can attain a level of toxicity that would be unusual to find at a higher level.

As shit as the SNP are under Nicola, I'm not sure things are that much worse than the UK under Boris.

Members of the Scottish Greens, especially the co leader who likes to ride his bike around Glasgow, have dubious connections including the trans identifying man who is CEO of Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre who left the SNP for the Greens when a vote didn’t go the way he wanted. That vote being the one on the right of rape survivors to choose the sex of their medical examiner.

Also to mention a certain Ian Dunn , founder of PIE, who had an award named after him which was presented to the bike loving co leader of Scottish Greens a few years ago. The bike owning co leader was an associate of Dunn.
The whole situation is just mind blowing and disgusting.
Scotland, especially it’s women and children, deserve far better.

HirplesWithHaggis, that would be the UK that currently bails out Scotland’s finances, paid for the furlough, and financed the vaccine roll out, yes? And that provides our nuclear deterrent and world class armed forces? How is that even comparable with the SNP’s shit show on every devolved function they have laid their incompetent paws on?
