Oh dear.

Shorter hairstyle and checked trousers? Can't be a girl.

A doctor giving the 'puberty blockers are a harmless pause and puberty just resumes normally afterwards' schtick.

And a female teenager in Foster care who took blockers for 4 years and then stopped as she re-identified as bring female. And now, at 17, looks about 12.

Tragic.

Movingonup22 · 14/03/2022 06:08

Christ. It’s just so regressive.

tricervixtops · 14/03/2022 06:50

Incredibly regressive. Plays with trucks as well as barbie so can't be a girl or a boy.
Thank god she has aged out of the service before being able to get surgery to match body to her gender.
That's could mean a double mastectomy, hysterectomy and removing all outside genitalia (nullo Envy)
Heartbreaking that a child should see this as
the way to be true to themselves.

KittyLeMew · 14/03/2022 07:16

FFS so no fucking info on the girl who stopped taking puberty blockers, the impact on her health, whether, as they like to claim, normal puberty has resumed. She seems to have a child’s body. Just completely unaddressed. No reference to the fact that few actually desist at this stage, most go on to cross sex hormones and the irreversible changes those being. All completely glossed over.

Kids have anxiety and depression - maybe explore that and try to resolve it rather than prevent a natural lie stage?!?!?

The first girl jfc TRUCKS AND BARBIES - off to the teet yeeter immeeds! Why does no one point out that this is absolutely normal behaviour and something you can do without any surgery, simply by living your life as you want (short hair, checked trousers, doing whatever tf you like) ?!?!?!? How is lopping her breasts off going to make her feel closer to non-binary - she will just be non-anything... why is that seen as preferable? Why is no one explaining this to her?

DrDetriment · 14/03/2022 07:21

I don't understand. Why should the non binary child be trying to raise money for body modification surgery to match their gender? That's the whole point. They feel they have no gender so why would they need surgery. The whole thing does not ever seem to make sense logically.

Thingybob · 14/03/2022 07:40

800 referrals last year of children under 16?

As the hospital does not except interstate referrals, the referral rate is around 4x that of GIDs.

Helleofabore · 14/03/2022 08:38

FFS! So me putting Sindy ‘in’ the truck was what? Me being outside the binary? And having just one dress (outside of school uniform) to wear ‘for good’ occasions while having only jeans, shorts and trousers was not just clever economics from my mum as the dresses would have been shredded (literally by all the fences and trees climbed), it was because I was actually a boy. I mean, I desperately wanted to be a boy as puberty hit but I never thought it was ever possible.

Complete bollocks. Again pushed by the ABC. It seems in this one area that have a complete imbalance.

TheMarzipanDildo · 14/03/2022 08:51

“Louis is in the process of seeking support at a gender clinic with the hope of eventually undergoing surgery to match their body to their gender.“

Jesus. They are non binary!

MoonOnASpoon · 14/03/2022 08:53

God I am so fed up of the stupidity!

Why is it so hard to understand that your “gender” preferences do not have to have anything to do with your sex or say anything about whether your a man or a woman. They are just preferences and interests that anyone can have. People generally used to know this! What happened?

As a tomboy growing up, I encountered the occasional person who thought I should get back in the female-gendered box and play with barbies, but even they understood that I was female with non-stereotyped interests, and that such a thing was possible.

I know genderwoo has infiltrated politics and policy but I don’t get why people are being so thick. There are still short-haired women in trousers, long-haired men, effeminate men, female truckers and male nurses, etc etc walking around all over the place not questioning their sex. Can’t they see us?

It’s like the second people think about the sacred truth that is “gender” they stop thinking at all.

NoNeedToWorryAboutAThing · 15/03/2022 13:23

It's utterly nonsense.

I work in a female dominated profession. I'm a single parent so I do everything myself from cooking the dinner; the laundry; repressurising the boiler and unblocking drains. I do all the decorating and retiled my bathroom before baking a cake and sewing some badges onto a camp blanket.

I play in a band on a typically masculine instrument. I generally only wear make up for gigs. I wear DMs most of the time and own a pair of heels I really only wear for sex. I always wear dresses.

I drive a car and check the electrics on my trailer before towing it but I don't have the first clue about topping up the oil.

Yanno, its almost like I'm a person with my own life and not a collection of stereotypes... oh but very most definitely a woman as proved by the fact I have a female.body with which I became pregnant twice, gave birth twice amd breastfed two babies.

How did it become so bad! How did this nonsense take hold...

Exactly NoNeed - I was thinking that the other day about single parents. If you weren't "non-binary" Hmm before then you sure as hell are when you become a single parent. You have to do all the household jobs normally supposed to be men's or women's jobs (even though of course that's bollocks anyway) and facilitate whatever your DC want to do, however gendered.

I'm v similar - big boots, DIY, "masculine" instrument, short hair, sewing, baking, make-up, dresses. And a woman. Because there is no actual "gender" box unless you decide there is.
