Just announced by Sex Matters on Facebook. Looks like a fab line up!

"To celebrate the end of “no debate”, Sex Matters is delighted to introduce the brave gender-critical women and men bringing cases to court to defend sex-based rights.

Join us in Shepherd’s Bush, London on Friday 1st April for an evening of conversation moderated by Helen Joyce, author of the best-selling book Trans, with those bearing the brunt of the gender wars.

Among the panellists who have already confirmed are Jo Phoenix, James Esses, Harry Miller, Marion Calder, Raquel Rosario Sanchez and Nicola Williams. And among the honoured guests will be members of the Sex Matters advisory board, as well as MPs and peers who have spoken out against gender-identity ideology, such as Joanna Cherry, Jackie Doyle-Price and Rosie Duffield."

Tickets cost £15, with all proceeds beyond costs going to support Sex Matters’ work.

Got my ticket! Exciting stuff.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 11/03/2022 18:11

That sounds amazing - is it being live streamed as well?

MrPanks · 11/03/2022 19:16

I've got my ticket. I don't know a single, solitary other person going, but am really excited to show my support for those women and men I owe such a debt to. If they are brave enough to put their necks on the line, the very least I can do is buy a ticket and show up to an event on my lonesome!

Thinking of it.

This was me in Feb 2020 at the Woman's Place event. I took the plunge and started talking to people and have since then have made a lovely circle of friends. Go for it!

@MrPanks
I'm going on my own too. Getting excited and a bit nervous now in case of having to run the gauntlet of protesters
I've sent you a PM.
Cheers!

What a line up!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 30/03/2022 11:51

Is it being livestreamed, as the original Lavery event was going to be, does anyone know?

sacredfeminina · 30/03/2022 17:39

Ohhh id love to go! I have a three month old baby so possibly not appropriate...

Letterasaurus · 30/03/2022 17:51

Already sold out! Hope it's livestreamed too! I went to the Manchester event which was brilliant despite the idiots outside.

lizziesaurus · 30/03/2022 20:02

Hi @Toomie and @MrPanks, I'm going on my own too and quite nervous both about protesters and about not knowing anyone... hope it's ok if I PM you.

MrPanks · 30/03/2022 20:27

@Toomie and @lizziesaurus, yes, happy to meet up. PM me.

Timefortea4 · 31/03/2022 07:35

Hi I'm going to this too. Would be great to meet some Mumsnetters! I don't post much but you have all been keeping me sane these last few years. And helped my partner see that I hadn't fallen for some random internet conspiracy theory.
