"A contractor who worked on the newly opened affordable housing development where Marcelin lives said he saw the suspect in the hallways and remembered her distinctive wig, nails and lipstick.

“I’m a pretty social guy,” the contractor said. “But something told me to stay away. With some people, you just get a vibe.""

Brutally murdered women twice before, that they know of, imprisoned and released twice, to offend again. Had they any doubt at all that he’d do it for (at least) a third time, seriously? It’s almost like women don’t matter. I wonder if the victim could have identified herself out of the sex class that he liked to murder. I wonder which prison he’ll be in this time.

It’s a daily fail link. Sorry. But does have different info. A member of the public found the torso. Poor woman.

Marcelin was paroled in 1984. Killed again within a year of release and subsequently jailed. Paroled again in 2019. I imagine advancing age is a hurdle to overcome when searching for a new victim. Perhaps this would account for the 2/3 years it took to reoffend.

Some men remain incredibly strong into their 80s. I was overpowered in my mid teens by one such male. His grip was vice like.

The New York Post also reported on this, I wrote a letter to the editor complaining about repeated use of the pronoun "she" regarding the monster.
I suggest you all do the same, I'll now write to the Daily Mail too.

It's entirely possible to avoid gendered language, us women are on the receiving end of that constantly.

We can be referred to as "people with a cervix" by the UK's most prominent cancer charity and everyone else.
This person can easily be referred to as a "person" too, there's absolutely no need to offend and insult women by using our language for this monster.

People may say its unfair to focus on trans killers because they aren’t representative of trans women in general. I don’t think that’s the point. What strikes me about these stories is how quintessentially male the crimes are. I have never heard of a female serial killer who dismembered her partners and distributed their bodies around the neighbourhood. Female murderers are a very rare thing, but trans murderers are far more common. This just makes me think… if trans women really are women then why is their criminality more like males? Shouldn’t we expect trans women to do things like not pay their tv license as opposed to chopping their girlfriends head off?

Is this individual going to be put in a women's prison?

I suspect covid is to blame for the delay. He was in relationships with all his previous victims. He is 83 and Susan was 64 at the time she was killed. For his own welfare he would have needed to shield over 2020, so wouldn't have been able to meet women.

Oh but @WeeBisom that’s [part of] why TW need to go into women’s prisons, surely? Like when teachers put disruptive boys next to well-behaved girls in class, just in a horrifying completely inescapable rights-violating way. TW in the UK have openly stated that they wanted to be with biological women not on a TW wing because - amongst other things - they “needed” to be able to learn* from interactions with the female prisoners. Surely if they are put into women’s prisons any future crimes they might commit will be of the typically female sort?

That’s how it works, right? I mean, what possible other reason could there be for not only the clamour from male inmates to be granted entry to the female estate; but the gates essentially being flung wide for them to walk right on in?

  • womanning skills, for want of a better description Hmm
