Importance of sexed language in maternity services

I've found this interesting article on the use of sexed language in maternity services. I work in the NHS and I've noticed an increasing number of services are using non-sexed terms such as 'chestfeeding' and 'birthing person' . I've been struggling to articulate my concerns around language and this article is really helpful.

It's an excellent paper. Interesting that it has a very gradual 'soft launch'.
