Do you think that the staff of Vice will realise, on seeing it here, that they’ve accidentally confessed to their LITERAL inhumanity. You know, what with “gluten-free” being the natural make-up of people, not counting the sort one might purchase from a bakery (or see involved in a high-speed chase, tearing past you yelling “run, run, as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread Man!”… what? I don’t presume to know your lives…). On the plus side, they might be monsters, but apparently they’re not [yet] eating people.
We hear so much about JKR [ab]using her platform (which is SUCH an unwise phrase for TRAs to use in the circumstances, really) to abuse trans people. And claims she encourages other people to do so. Literal violence crops up quite a bit. STG people are out there on Twitter acting as if she’s stealing their Hogwarts letters, snapping their wands, & sending them to Azkaban all in one go. TBH if you’re going to accuse JKR of being a transphobe I think i & ii are appropriate; &
some TRAs (eg those who posted dreadful things to the thread of children’s illustrations for The Ickabog ) probably COULD do with a spell in post Voldemort Azkaban.
How HOW is it that people imagine she hasn’t been prosecuted for all this rampant transphobia & incitement? The woman lives in Scotland for goodness sake - a bit of misplaced ribbon could have got her arrested. Presumably it’s all about her wealth. But if TRAs were to think THAT, they’d be saying that the Police Scotland who are so hugely over-invested in keeping Stonewall Law rather than the actual Law are, well, corrupt[able]/unfit for purpose/playing favourites. And that’s not right, is it?
