They captured language. This was the biggest and most successful move. The use of woman was always meant to confuse. In reality this isn't correct. Any transition is usually from as in Doctor Who, from one Doctor to another. The use of woman moves the debate away from masculine, even though that's were the debate should be.
If we try and express in words that are accurate, we are being discriminatory. I don't know how we can get to reality because the press, at this point, have to refer to a transwoman as she, even without a GRC, that should change at some point, but the argument against is that, in order to find out if a GRC exists, you have to ask lots of transphobic questions.
I don't know how this will sort itself out. If it did, the population at large would become more knowledgeable. It would be good to distinguish between transsexual and trans but this is no longer possible, again transphobic
