Today the BBC has 2 articles about Scotland. Please start to push hard against this in any way you can. There are lots of ways to try to do something.

The divide over Scotland’s gender laws www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-60214574

What are the plans for transgender reforms in Scotland? www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-60221034

@ OldCrone
Thank you, yes I am sure it is.
I can see not that many people joined I. To ask what it was about unfortunately.

@ScrollingLeaves @OldCrone apologies for the delay in responding, yes, it was www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4483606-MPs-will-debate-changing-the-Gender-Recognition-Act
614 votes so far even if not many comments and more people will have read it and not voted. If only a small percentage openly question the TWAW mantra the ripple effect could still be huge.
Yes, I am a starry eyed optimist, but sometimes I've been right to be so. Smile

They captured language. This was the biggest and most successful move. The use of woman was always meant to confuse. In reality this isn't correct. Any transition is usually from as in Doctor Who, from one Doctor to another. The use of woman moves the debate away from masculine, even though that's were the debate should be.

If we try and express in words that are accurate, we are being discriminatory. I don't know how we can get to reality because the press, at this point, have to refer to a transwoman as she, even without a GRC, that should change at some point, but the argument against is that, in order to find out if a GRC exists, you have to ask lots of transphobic questions.

I don't know how this will sort itself out. If it did, the population at large would become more knowledgeable. It would be good to distinguish between transsexual and trans but this is no longer possible, again transphobic

I heard on the television news (yesterday afternoon) someone pro-self ID say that there is no need for a GRC/it is ridiculous and trans gender people already have access to all spaces without a GRC. (My paraphrase)

That is bloody brilliant. Well done, FWS. And thank you.

Please would someone briefly explain what winning this appeal means?
