I'm not sure whether this interview on Bill Maher's Real Time 10 days ago has been picked up here. Ira Glasser led the American Civil Liberties Union for over 20 years. They were the protectors of free speech. Now it is staffed by people like Chase Strangio, and they pick and choose whose speech is worth defending. Glasser is clearly unimpressed. It's a shame I can't find the whole interview online, but it's interesting to hear the main part of his perspective on Maher's show. This is Maher pushing back against the excesses of the authoritarian left.
