British Council women in STEM scholarships (but not really)

'For the second year running, the British Council has launched a scholarship programme in partnership with 26 UK universities with the aim of benefiting women from the Americas, South Asia, South East Asia, Egypt, Turkey and Ukraine.' Great!

To be eligible you need to 'be a woman or identify as a woman'.

Just what is the point if anyone can apply?!? They are therefore not women's scholarships. I'm sick of this rubbish. British Council sort yourselves out.

And so the encroachment continues. It's very concerning.

Wonder how many women will lose scholarships to born men?

littlbrowndog · 06/02/2022 13:07

Just anyones scholarships

Why don’t they just be truthful 🤷‍♀️

Well I would like to apply for one of those BC scholarships since the parameters seem fairly loose and ambiguous. I would like my scholarship to be in sitting at my kitchen table reading, watching birds and browsing MN. I am a woman if that helps my application.

It's ridiculous and offensive to those women.
