Oh I love Dalcher even more now. Her book Vox was brilliant and it's completely appropriate and right for her to speak up. The book, for those who haven't heard about it, begins with women being limited to 100 words a day. I strongly recommend it.

That's a shame

It is very telling isn’t it when another voice comes out and then also the truth that they were told to stay silent on the issue for the sake of their future career.

The totalitarianism of those ‘be kind’ people is a sight to behold. The hypocrisy is outstanding.

The author of Vox - how ironic is that?

I've just read Femlandia (having read Vox and Q), and felt sure she would be GC, but I guess she had to establish herself first.....

Oh that’s interesting and pleasing.

I’m about halfway through her book Femlandia now, and from the tone of the book I actually thought she was going to be another Margaret Atwood.

Very ironic, since I imagine these were the same people who profited from the publication of her dystopian fiction about the silencing of women’s voices…

I’m glad she’s been able to speak out anyway, and hope she doesn’t pay too steep a price for it.

I’ve just downloaded Q and Femlandia. I’ve already read and loved Vox, and her other 2 novels had somehow passed me by.

Femlandia is 99p on kindle atm for anyone that wants it.

Excellent - Femiland was on my to buy list so I'll get it now to celebrate another bravecwoman. Really enjoyed her other books.

I read Vox and Q this year. They were good easy reads, but scared me as mother!

Enjoyed Vox, just ordered the other two books.
