How captured is the NMC itself? The NMC holds a lot of information about us: what code of conduct are their employees held to?

Hmm I want to sign it, but share Nutowl's concerns about confidentiality and ultimately the effect on my registration.

After the Harrop case this week, it would be naive to think GC people who hold a registration, are not a risk of malicious reporting.

I'm also not loving the text. It reads to me like an attack on Stonewall, rather than a raising of concerns.

I did not read it that way. To me, it is a clear-sighted explanation of why Stonewall membership is incompatible with the code of practice for nurses and midwives.

It's excellent. Well-evidenced and relates directly to the Code. Hard to argue with.

Not a midwife or nurse but I think that's an excellent letter. Well written and to the point.

I've reflected over the weekend and have signed the letter. I am wholly in agreement with removing stonewall's influence and respecting womens right to privacy any dignity. Not to mention safeguarding patients.

Although it's not my preferred text, good for WP for doing this.
