I’m pissed off. At first glance it looks like a really strong rebrand but then click onto the website and it’s all about ‘people’. I can’t see the word woman once! FFS!!!!!!!!

I think you’ve looked in the wrong places on their website.

In the UK, around 1.5 million women and those assigned female at birth are currently living with the condition, regardless of race or ethnicity. Endometriosis can affect you from puberty to menopause, although the impact may be felt for life

OK I’ve not looked through the whole site yet just the home page and about us. Even so I would expect to see it on the home page.

OK my suspicions have now been confirmed. They’ve literally deleted the word woman from their comms. And in doing so are giving out inaccurate medical information - you can have endometriosis after a hysterectomy and post menopause. 😡

I have endometriosis.

This pisses me right off

Will try to put in to words and complain to them

It's hard e-fucking-nough to get the right information and get taken seriously without having to wade through vague inappropriate language.

Grrrr

IndominusRex · 19/11/2021 21:52

Me too @TreXX - Even doctors get it wrong all the time. This will only make it worse!!

Where are all these people "assigned female at birth" and the policies for those doing the "assigning"? Is it random, a lottery, do they have a quota?

Or do clinicians in fact observe the sex at birth, or even before 🤔

Smokeahontas · 19/11/2021 22:02

I stopped my subscription to them. They sent email after email asking me why, I told them each time. When they put women / woman back into their literature & pamphlets, they can have my money.

IndominusRex · 19/11/2021 22:14

I hadn’t noticed it until the rebrand. But I mainly only see my local group comms not the head office.
