Really interesting link OP, thank you. I’m always stunned by the bravery of the women who continue to defy these oppressive regimes.

There was a brilliant movement in Iran, part of which was 'My Stealthy Freedom', women going out without hijabs.

This is tragic when you consider Iran was the one that brought Islamic musical traditions to India through sufism.
