Why don't FPFW and WPUK have shops/merch etc

I'm looking for some leaflets or similar to leave around and neither WPUK or FPFW have online shops. I would spend money with them and can't understand why they're not going down this avenue.
I'm not asking for t-shirts or stickers, I just want some postcards, leaflets, info, maybe a tote bag at most.

I expect they prefer to concentrate on producing content, spreading information and influencing.
They are supported by donations, and having to send out merch would distract them from the work they do.
Different groups have different funding strategies.
They often have PDF files available for download that you can print out yourself onto postcards and leaflets.
For tote bags I recommend the standing for women website. Loads of good merch there, I laughed like a drain when they started selling transphobic dog whistles, they make great stocking fillers!

You could try contacting gcritical.org they were getting some leaflets printed.

Especially as the TRAs enjoy getting GC products pulled from websites, and getting them blacklisted by payment providers etc

“transphobic dog whistles”! Grin
I so want one, and I don’t even own a dog.
Perhaps my cat could identify… maybe not.

WPUK are a grassroots campaign with run, unpaid, by women with full-time jobs and other responsibilities - as Stealhsquirrelnutkin says - having to send out merch would distract them from the work they do.

But they do do have absolutely gorgeous merchandise, including an embroidered patch designed by Jess de Wahls. These were sold at the recent FiLiA conference and at the recent WPUK meeting on women's imprisonment.

It really is, I want one but I'm not sure what to put it on!

I did see this - makes me want to get a denim jacket just for the purpose twitter.com/ValGarwood/status/1453490847006314497?s=20

FPFW did have merch based on their (frankly, hideous) boob pinching design, but I don't think it took off.

FiLiA have a shop if you want something more moderate than Standing for Women (who do the best merch IMO).

It is also a branding thing in terms of what people do whilst wearing a t shirt with your logo on and how they can be portrayed on social media. Onlookers may assume what you are doing is in the name of that brand/organisation. Selling clear messages is really important.

I see your point about leaflets but I'm not sure who you would hand them out to anyway and suspect most would end in the bin or as litter.

What I would like is a business card with relevant websites on to hand out. If you have chatted to someone in person you could give them this small card and if they are curious then can do some reading. Organisations like: Fair Play for Women, Sex Matters, Keep prisons Single Sex, Women's Place UK, Safe Schools Alliance, Transgender Trend and others.
