There is a cost of paying employees to sit into training E.g. Uk's "average wage" of 30k it costs about £16 per hour.
Spending that on a cancelled project is not value for money.

It isn't just the FCO where the civil servants have run amok, it's the capture in the higher echelons of all civil servants and for years. Women did not give their consent and this capture is an infringement of my democratic rights.

Stonewall said: “As with all membership programmes, organisations come and go from our Diversity Champions programme depending on what’s best for their inclusion journey at the time.
“We’re proud to work with a growing number of employers to help them build inclusive workplace environments where LGBTQ+ employees feel respected and valued.”

They trot out this copy and paste statement every time.

No mention in that article that the FCO gave Stonewall £145,000 in 2019 and similar amounts in previous years.
