"The competition continues to be a team event, with each one made up of 4 students that identify as female, from Year 8 in England and Wales, Year 9 in Northern Ireland and S2 in Scotland."

This is from the UK Government's National Cyber Security Centre.
There is a contact form on their website.

Great! I’m going to register my son. Who is on year 12.

DD is studying cyber security at uni. She is the only female in 240 students in her year. No doubt that actually means she's a man!

AngelicInnocent, they need to even up the 'genders'.
Can't she just get a few of the other people to identify as female?

She's not woke enough for that lol.

“Identify as female.” I am sure that for quite a while it was only ever “identify as a woman/girl”, and there was a sort of unspoken understanding that “female” was off limits for appropriation as it clearly means “of the female sex”. But sure as eggs are eggs, that was always going to be taken as well, and here we are, so that women and girls are not allowed any words at all to describe ourselves, even when our own government is writing them. I am so angry.
