Are you comfortable with your children's school teaching our children that people choose to be a girl instead of a boy and this is called transition. I can't for the life of me understand how they can only explain one side of the ideology, particularly to young children. Our schools aren't allowed to make sweeping statements such as when you die you go to heaven, so why are they allowed to tell our children that they can choose their sex or gender!
@FeministM

Schools should teach there are many sexuality angles and two main genders with some people are trans gender and this means that he following etc

We are not in the 1950’s
Schools should definitely not lie or mislead or talk about things that are adult subjects.

People are male or female, men or women. They are either attracted to their own sex, the opposite sex or both sexes.

Obviously we should teach facts, like gender started as sex based stereotypes but now means whatever someone (often vulnerable and with mental health issues irrespective of gender dysphoria) says it means. Like some people claim to have a gender identity and some of those claim it to be different from the biological reality of our sex. Like some people have certain sexual preferences - they might prefer muscular men or tall men or funny men or men in dresses.

There's a difference between teaching children about religion and teaching children a religion.

Likewise, there's a difference between teaching children about trans people and teaching children gender identity.

As always, TRAs will conflate the two and say you oppose the former if you criticise the latter.

The confusion in schools was probably because the Conservatives were initially captured but then peaked. So the timeline was

 1. Govt was lobbied by stonewall and promised to inteoduce self-id.
 2. Set plans in motion to teach self-id and gender ideology in schools, ready for when it become law.
 3. Set a deadline for all schools to adapt their RSE policy, assuming self id would soon be legal.
 4. Govt wake up to gender ideology being dangerous nonsense. U turn on self-id.
 5. BUT Schools still required to amend RSE policies, with a deadline looming. But now that theres no self id, no one really sure what the new policies should include.
 6. Govt delay deadline for RSE changes (twice?) and issue very little guidance on how new policies should differ from old ones.
Result = lots of school leaders know they have to change their policies and its something to do with gender. But with not much useful guidance from govt so who can they turn to for advice? Stonewall/Mermaids/Allsorts/Gendered Intelligence etc.
