If anyone has not already, I would urge you to respond to Wales LGBTQ action plan - consultation closes Friday. Read the EQIA section on sex if you need to get your anger up to motivate you. Its beyond disgusting. Fears about safeguarding about the move from sex to gender segregation are stated to be based on the stigmatising TW with 'predatory determinism'. Let that sink. The WG are officially seeking to shame people (women and girls) who have fears for their safety.
Having read Sarah Titum's article in the Times today, where she states OfCom curried favour with Stonewall by providing evidence to Stonewall that they took action against a presenter who said he would not want his six year old daughter in a mixed sex changing room, as this comment was implying safety was compromised by the presence of a TW, we can see that there is a deliberate campaign , to undermine safeguarding.
Until I saw this in the EQIA I don't think it really hit me that that safeguarding was deliberately and calculatedly being undermined.
I think I just thought that was incidental - not thought through. But it has been thought through. They have even made up a bollocks sociological term to manufacture shame around talking about safeguarding ' predatory determinism' (google it - you get nada.
They seem to have made it up - just for this cause).
There is more in the EQIA that is awful - really awful. But that has made me so angry.
I doubt you have to be living in Wales to respond, so I would urge everyone to.
