Here is a University of Sussex tool for reporting bullying, harrassment etc (anoymously if you wish) reportandsupport.sussex.ac.uk/

It says:
"The University of Sussex is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for every member of its community.
If you or someone else has experienced behaviours such as bullying, harassment, a hate incident, sexual violence, domestic abuse or discrimination, you can let us know using this Report and Support tool"

Also if you believe Kathleen was targeted because she is a lesbian and is a trustee of LGB alliance, homophobia is a criteria here twww.sussex.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/hco/hate-crime/how-to-report-hate-crime/

Reading some stuff on the other side of the fence (I like to keep a balanced view), not sure a claim here will be successful. May be students also claiming bullying and harassment.

Not sure she can claim homophobia - bit of a stretch. She was challenged due to her stated views and signed statements, which is what universities should be able to do - have that debate!

Grace Lavery? LOL.

If its perceived as hate based on her sexual orientation that is how the police have to record it. Its only perception that matters when it come to reporting hate incidents

I’m afraid I gave Grace a click. Kathleen deserves everything Kathleen gets because Matt Lucas from the Great British bake-off has the opposite opinion. Great argument.

I am guessing that in order to maintain the purity of mind necessary as a believer of gender ideology, Mishy will not have looked at let alone read first hand Kathleen's writings and has instead trusted to other acolytes (who have also not read it).

No no no @MishyJDI. As usual you are not applyng your logic evenly.

If a crime is perceived to be because of well, anything but the sex of the individual it seems, then it can be reported as a hate crime iwth the relevant characteristic as the aggravating factor.

YOU don't get to tell ANYONE how they can perceive anything! Homophobia here is far, far less of a stretch than anyone stating "transwomen are men". It's all about the feelz after all! Take your woman erasing double standrads elsewhere.

Balance? Do you mean you have missed all the mask wearing, flare lighting, banner waving, door pissing, letter writing, poster sticking, general shouting sone by some students? Hardly silent, or silenced.

But help a gal along, would you? Answer a question for me:

How many actual threats equal a scientific statement?

HoardingSamphireSaurus · 18/10/2021 14:44

Correction:

Homophobia here is far, far less of a stretch in this case than anyone stating "transwomen are men". is transphobia

www.report-it.org.uk/your_police_force

There's even a website to report hate incidents, you don't even have to pick up a phone

Manderleyagain · 18/10/2021 16:37

I don't think homophobia is a stretch at all. One of the reasons ks is targeted is because she has said & written that a lesbian is a woman attracted to the same sex, and she is on the board of a charity who fight for the rights of such ppl, those who see their sexual orientation as same sex attracted. Bad treatment as a result if being same sex attracted, or for being out and proud of it, is homophobia. If you are allowed to be attracted to the same sex as long as you keep quiet about if, but are treated badly when you talk openly about it as an orientation and the basis of your sexuality, then you are surely experiencing homophobic discrimination?
