I try to follow a wide range of views online, I do constantly question myself on my gender critical views (mostly because it’s the first time I’ve found myself on the side of a debate that isn’t the ‘be kind, inclusive, liberal etc etc’ one) but, yeah, biology.

Anyway - Paris Lees tweet today - is it not incredibly ironic, why can they not see that what they’re saying actually applies to WOMEN and always has, and actually is just as much, or more, under attack today than ever before? Why do I feel like I’m losing my mind with it - it’s often women themselves supporting them and then lying down to prostrate themselves at the feet of the activists if they dare to not apologise abjectly enough for existing (ha!). Argh.

I’ve recently started started getting involved in this subject and I’m amazed at how often I read a tweet/comment and think “Ok, so they are on the GC side of things…oh no, wait…they’re not…they’re TA. Hang on, what else have they said?! Ah. They hate GC and are completely pro-trans” 😕

Many of the TA arguments/comments used seem to be equally applicable to women’s rights.

I watched Debbie Hayton on Triggernometry and is was fantastic! It was an actual exchange of ideas and an offering of opinions based on personal experience that didn’t descend into mud slinging.

Afternoon, everyone.

We've deleted some posts on this thread that were a bit too personal and we may need to take the entire thread down if that continues. Just thought we'd pop by and give everyone fair warning.

Warning heeded HebeMumsnet

Without comment, I am leaving a link to today's Stylist email (and Stylist is very definitely a feminist site, because they often do fashion features about t-shirts with 'feminist' written across the front) so we can all test and re-calibrate our 'Did I Just Read That' irony-meters.

I am particularly interested in the phrase 'uses science'. And also 'experts' and 'opposite ends of the spectrum.' I'm sure the surprising results will be very surprising indeed. (Or not.)

Paris Lees is entitled to tweet. And I'm entitled to roll my eyes at the contents of said Tweet.

There is a really interesting interview out there, of Paris, by Nick Robinson.

Tactically I think it would be best to pretend Paris does not exist because she comes across far better than the usual idiot TRAs.
