Does anyone have experience of Diversity Role Models in schools?

My daughters' school has a Diversity Role Models day coming up. I had assumed it was about racism as they are having a big focus on this but I've just noticed there is an LGBT training organisation with this name so I am now wondering if it might be them.

Does anyone have any recent experience of their training in secondary schools? I'm wondering if I should ask school what is being covered.

Or should I just bite the bullet and speak with my 15 year old about my concern about messages which reinforce gender stereotypes/born in the wrong body etc. I haven't overtly spoken with her about this but I do know she is frustrated by changing pronouns so may be open to it and thinks it is all a load of "attention seeking".

A younger sibling is quite gender non-conforming and I'm worried what nonsense she'll be fed as she moves though the school.

I'd get ahead of it OP, it sounds like she's clocked the pronouns already and might appreciate some adult guidance in conversation where she doesn't have to perform or hide her true opinions.

Sorry, I don't have previous threads to hand but if you Google Mumsnet with diversity role models you should get some info, even if they aren't so recent, it will provide background. DRM have been discussed quite a lot on here, you'll also find help over at Safe Schools Alliance and Transgender Trend.

Sorry I'm not much help, just didn't want to leave you without a reply.

Loads of resources on Safe Schools Alliance such as letter templates, the law, the Department for Education guidance.

They self identify as educators but they are in fact adults with a personal agenda using schools and children to promote their own world views. Transgender Trend published an analysis of some of their gaslighting materials for children:

Thanks. I'm going to see what I can find out and have a quick chat with DD. I'm trying to tread carefully but can see I need to speed up my game here.

Brilliant terminology, @MrsOvertonsWindow, "they identify as educators..."

My company invited them to speak during Pride month. I forwarded the SSA materials and concerns to them beforehand thanks for the lovely ladies on here.

Although they had promised that they wouldn't say anything that wasn't factual, one of the first sentences mentioned "sex assigned at birth" and it was essentially an hour of gaslighting and pushing identity politics. I wasn't impressed and told HR so.

I would keep my child off that day.

We had them in school. They reinforced sex stereotypes and introduced homophobia amount children who never had even thought about it before.

They also made small children believe that you magically could change sex. Better follow those stereotypes or it may happen to you. I wish I was joking.
