I was first asked this a while back. What I find interesting is that virtually no one in my network has them. What does that tell you? Everyone thinks it's bollocks.

I tried going on LinkedIn today and all the she/her-ing jarred so much that I find it almost unusable.

It's so fucking retrograde. Why does anyone even need to know or ask? Why, on a site that's meant to be about work, is my sex the most vital fact for me to offer people? Are we all supposed to pretend that we're blind and can't tell what sex people are?

You have to look hard on LinkedIn for anyone with pronouns. I looked through my contacts and couldn't find one, other than my DH.

DH has set his - Comrade/comrade in LinkedIn. His Dad was a union convenor, so he still retains the socialist thinking he grew up with. His opinion of the Left now in Britain is unprintable.

Comrade/comrade is probably the ultimate non-binary pronoun. I'm thinking about employing it myself -and best of all, when prompted to reveal my pronouns in a meeting, whether in-person or in Zoom/Teams, Comrade has to be the ultimate killer response!

Quite I few people I know have them now. It makes me think less of them tbh.

Some higher-ups (managers, HR) have adopted pronouns in their signatures at work. To me it's a massive cringe. Makes me lose respect for them immediately.

Who are they so desperate to appease? It's so craven.
