@PearPickingPorky

I suspect there is a reason Madigan has disappeared. There were a lot of stories circulating for a while.
Thread about the disappearance on Twitter, in case anyone is wondering who Angela was keeping the seat warm for:

The phrase 'safe spaces' has been abused misused and is in the PC gawn mad zone.

Women never said we needed safe spaces.

We HAD spaces that were necessary for us. For comfort, privacy, and to lessen risk. To enable us to get help with massive things like rape.

And that is why they exist.

Reject the term safe spaces.

It is used too often for all sorts of things.

We need single sex spaces for reasons that are very important and have not changed.

Annoyingly when this came up one the Westminster Hour last night, the presenter, Carolyn Quinn, was also asking Anneliese Dodds about "safe spaces". This misleading term can easily tip the discussion into "trans people, safe or not?"

Incidentally, Dodds was a tad aggressive towards the Red Wall Tory MP who seemed to be firmly of the gender critical viewpoint, for this part of the debate at least.

@nauticant, I heard that broadcast as well, on Sunday night. I believe that A Dodds also quoted attempted suicide statistics. I'm sure these weren't right, but can't remember where I'd seen references that refute such a study. Can anyone help? I bet it'll come up again.
