You may remember My Stealthy Freedom as an Iranian movement of women who refused to comply with strict dress codes.

Here's an interview with Samira, who led some recent protests for women's rights in Afghanistan and is now in hiding from the Taliban.

'I feel that they don't even see us as human beings'

Placemarking as well!

She's a brave woman. I've watched in awe as groups of women protested openly about what's happening to women.

I think she was the woman who pushed aside a gun, MrsOverton, I remember that footage. The bravery of the women there was breathtaking.

Such bravery .

I fear for her, and for all women in Afghanistan. We can help by donating to charities that support them, such as
Amarfoundation.org

Thank you for posting. The women of Afghanistan must feel so afraid at the moment, I hope Samira is safe.

Thank you for the charity link, I will donate and share.

Woman’s hour has also had a series of interviews with Afghan women which have told their stories and concerns, very well done.
