How do you feel about breastfeeding in public? I was last time breasfeeding my daughter at Costa coffee no one had any issues from the staff but 2 old ladies have been giving me the evil eye & talking about my breasfeeding. I know I have the right to breastfeed as long as I'm comfortable.
It made me feel very mad almost had a go at them. My priority is for my child to be fed when she needs.
Anyone else felt that way?

I fed DD whenever she needed it. Now she's 2yrs 9m I tend to try to distract her when we're out but I've recently fed her at a family event and a wedding when she was a bit overwhelmed by the number of people etc. A couple of people looked a bit surprised but nothing negative was said. I know a few people who think feeding an "older child" is weird or something similar but no one has said anything directly to me. When she was a little baby I did get a few positive comments when out and about, which was nice and encouraging.

I always post two things on bfing in public threads that helped me. For the first, the credit belongs to Libby Purves. She wrote a line that I kept in the back of my head which made me feel more confident. And it was Screaming or feeding, squire? You choose. I don't know why it helped but it did.

And the other was this earworm of a song
