Following a conversation with a woman friend this morning who advised me not to talk about these issues, although she is sympathetic to them, this series of webinars and the work behind them is keeping me sane.

Yes it was brilliant. Really interesting to hear from Winston from Mumford and Sons, Posie and Alex Branwell (the Gay man targeted at Pride Manchester for supporting LBG Alliance).

Baroness Nicholson makes me feel like I'm 'safe' weirdly. I always feel better after hearing her.

I couldn't attend today's, but I love them and like Pets find them reassuring.

1. Why do you think the LGB Alliance is against same sex marriage?

1. Clause 28 renewal? Get a grip. The people who run the LGB Alliance are lesbians and gay men who lived through that era. What on earth makes you think they would want to go back to those times?

Of course, given it's you, perhaps you are conflating transgender issues with issues that only related to LGB people.

For those who have missed the session this website has links to recordings of the webinars and minutes of them. (Today’s isn’t on there yet but hopefully it won’t be too long until it is).

I'm not sure SSM is some kind of litmus test anyway, it's not like even the gay community has complete unity of viewpoint about it.

Though there is something symmetrical about trying to discredit what someone has to say about cancel culture because of their views on SSM.

Today's was very good indeed. Well worth looking on the website for previous episodes too. The Baroness and her positivity keep me sane.

My gay best friends are also opposed to same sex marriage disgusted. They are a committed couple who consider marriage to be a heterosexual thing and detrimental to gay culture.

Do you think that they should not be permitted to think this about their own lives?

These webinars are brilliant. The wonderful baronesses are getting together a genuine cross- party group to fight this s**t.
The webinar on the 3rd was particularly good, such powerful speakers.

And to think that, in the past, I've said that the House of Lords was anachronistic and should be removed. I was wrong.
Now it seems that the House of Lords represents the adults in the room. They are the cavalry rushing to our rescue.
