'As a woman, you are always a little bit on edge if you are in a compromising or vulnerable position, especially when you're pregnant and you're naked and alone with a completely strange man. You are always going to be on the defensive.'

I didn't see a thread on this - article from a week ago, a pregnant woman who caught a masseuse secretly filming her (and, it transpired, around 900 other women).

It doesn’t say why the sentence was reduced. No doubt ‘stress of something or other’.

Ffs he’ll end up serving less than a day for each woman he violated

The title of this thread made me feel sick. I went for a massage once and saw a device with a light on it in an open-faced cupboard when I was getting changed at the end. Tried to tell myself it was nothing and I was being paranoid and to forget about it. Maybe a year later when I tried to book another appointment with him he cancelled it and removed his profile from the booking site as well as his Facebook profile. This was maybe five years ago and I'm still scared that footage of me half naked is on the internet somewhere. I was almost expecting to be faced with his picture when I clicked on the article but no, not him. I really wonder if my uneasy feeling was actually right.

Anyway, sorry, it's not about me - these poor women, especially being pregnant and dealing with that. Good on her for looking into it and not taking no for an answer.

Missed out a detail in my post - I went up to look at the device to try to figure out what it was, though I didn't open the cupboard. That made me think later on when I tried to book again (having convinced myself I was being crazy) that maybe he'd seen me do that in footage and that made him panic when I booked with him again. If that makes sense
