Ribbons in the Wild

Saw my first suffragette ribbons with lovely card and slogan in the wild yesterday. In a NT property garden in the south east (won’t say which one as I don’t want those who monitor this board going to remove it).

Gave a lovely feeling of solidarity and reminded me I must prepare some ribbons to put in my bag as I’ve not done any yet.

Yes stickering can be really subtle - if you have the sticker in the palm of you hand all anyone would see is you putting your hand on something

Things that didn't happen.

Well, I've just ordered some luggage labels, three sets of Jute twine (purple, white, and green - I'll tie each tag with a strand of each) and a customised rubber stamp which says #NoThankYou, so I can start ribboning with the tags and hopefully spread some awareness. I'm thinking of either writing a bit of information on the tags or having a sticker on the unstamped side.

The stamp has cost less than £10 to have custom made, and if it turns out to be a good one I think I'll order a couple more with other slogans on them.

"Women won't wheesht" was chalked in several places along the Union canal today.

First time I've seen anything IRL and was surprised how happy it made me feel. Might have to get some ribbons of my own ...

Invisible, that's great to hear. A while ago, I saw a slate hanging from a railing near there with #womenwontwheesht on it - whoever it is out there, THANK YOU!

I mentioned the one in Peebles on here a few months ago and hadn’t been back for a while but noticed today it wasn’t there anymore 😞

Must do some ribboning myself I think!
