Bookshops these days - gender studies, not feminist or woman’s

(In a large bookshop today) - No feminism/ist studies or literature, no women’s studies... only Gender Studies (which of course isn’t the same thing at all).

What’s going on? When I was a student there big book shops (even small ones) always had a wee corner for women and girls.

Are there any genuinely feminist bookshops / departments left?

The answer is no, not now. Maybe it depends on where you are. There was a thread recently about this and I said then I would love to open a feminist book shop in my city.

In the words of Charlie Brown “ good grief” I would have thought London would have somewhere. Maybe the rents at just too high.
